It Kills Me to Be Kind

This painting was inspired by the Dark Queen in the 80's movie "Legend". That was just my starting point though. The painting is called it kills me to be kind, because in my world she is the tragic dark queen, and whenever she is kind or loving to a creature it twists it into something dark.

Lonely Girl

There is a lot you cannot control in life, especially when you are young. As a young child you do not always have the option to put distance between yourself and a bad situation. My girl is trying to escape into books, so that she does not have to feel what life is doing to her, but reality binds her and holds her down. Sooner or later she has to go back home to reality and all it holds.
